Pembroke exit 143 off eastbound I-16 will be closed much of next week for maintenance repairs, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced Friday.

The exit is scheduled to shut down Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. and will reopen Feb. 15 at 5 p.m., the DOT said. Drivers heading to Pembroke on I-16 east should use exit 137 while repairs are being made.

In the meantime, the DOT asked motorists to pay attention to work zone signs and anticipate delays in travel time.
