Pembroke City Administrator Alex Floyd was honored by City Council for his service at Monday’s meeting.

Floyd has accepted a position as special projects manager with the city of Richmond Hill.

His first day with Richmond Hill was Tuesday.

Pembroke resident Eric Anderson told the council that speed bumps were desperately needed on Church Street near Burkhalter to slow speeders in the area.

“I have monitored the cars on Church Street and the speeding problem is getting worse. We need speed bumps,” Anderson said.

Anderson got a copy of the city ordinance regarding requesting speed bumps after the city council meeting.

The council also approved resolutions for the sale of property at 144 Industrial Blvd., and the execution of documents related to the construction of the new city hall.

Council also approved a budget resolution for 2021.
