Now in its second year, Pembroke’s Whistle Stop Market is set to ring in its second session on Thursday, June 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

And Fernanda Camacho Hauser, Pembroke’s Director of Downtown Development, noted that this year, a few changes were made in response to constructive feedback from last year’s vendor’s–most notably a change in venue.

“We heard some good feedback from the vendors last year and took that into account,” said Camacho Hauser.

The Whistle Stop Market is now located in the City of Pembroke Parking Lot, across the street from the TOS Theatre and the Morgan ‘Gold’ Block.

At the Whistle Stop Market, local vendors from Pembroke and the wider south Georgia region gather to sell food, produce, arts and crafts, and other goods.

This year, the Whistle Stop Market will run on the following Thursdays:

  • June 5
  • June 19
  • July 10
  • July 24
  • August 7
  • August 21
  • September 4

To sign up to be a vendor at the Whistle Stop Market, visit the City of Pembroke’s official website and click under the Farmer’s Market tab.

Appropriate forms must be filled out in advance in order to ensure space for all who are interested.
