Gnarled live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Briny oysters steaming on the fire…the essence of Coastal Georgia.  It’s the Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation Oyster Roast. on Saturday, March 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at John W. Stevens Wetlands Educational Center, 500 Cedar Hill in Richmond Hill.

The CBTF has been planting a legacy of canopy trees in Richmond Hill and South Bryan for the last 22 years, according to the organization. The annual event features a raffle for prizes from local merchants, a buffet for non-bivalve eaters, with wine and beer available.

“Having fun while doing good!” said Jackie Montesino, President of CBTF. “We have a very popular free tree give-away every year.  We especially invite those who have gotten trees from us in the past to help us in continuing this benefit to the community. We invite everyone for a great evening that’s also a win for our beautiful coastal world.”

Tickets are available by contacting  coastalbryantreefoundation@gmail.com or on Facebook @tree foundation.
