Fort McAllister is hosting auditions for the Civil War historic drama Soldiers Young and Brave. All middle and high school students are invited to audition. 

The audition, for ages 11-17, will be held Wednesday Sept. 18, and Friday, Sept. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the main office/museum at Fort McAllister State Historic Site.

The tale draws from personal sources to portray the daily life and struggles of real people who endured this turbulent period. 

The audition will consist of a reading directly from the script and an improv scenario. 

Those who audition are asked to bring a one paragraph autobiography and any previous experience they have, along with an attached photograph.
