Officials: City Center on target

The Richmond Hill City Center, the conference center currently under construction at the back of J.F. Gregory Park, is on track to be completed by January of next year and is currently "between $100,000 to $150,000 under budget", according to project consultant Kirby Glaze.

Glaze, who addressed the Richmond Hill City Council Tuesday, said the project should wind up costing $6.2 million. He said the facility has the capacity to hold six simultaneous events, such as wedding parties, conferences and meetings.

In other business:

- Mayor Pro-Tem and Councilman Floyd Hilliard said a recent meeting between he, City Manager Mike Melton and the Georgia Department of Transportation was successful.
