New Richmond Hill High School to open in 2025

Bryan County Schools sent an email to parents late Wednesday afternoon with a link to a video announcing the new $100-plus million Richmond Hill High School will open in 2025, a year later than originally scheduled.

The new school is being built for 3,500 students near the Belfast Keller Interchange.

The system also announced planning has begun on a new Bryan County High School, which is projected to open in 2028 on a tract behind the current BCMHS and BCES campuses.

Newly-appointed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority Chairman Trip Addison kicked off the board’s first-ever meeting by telling those who attended he was “dedicated to engaging every voice in this process,” as the board moves forward on a potential general aviation airport on Rayonier-owned property off Highway 17 near Belfast Keller Road.
