Some interstate ramps in Richmond Hill are being closed nightly again this week.
Ramps will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Friday, weather permitting.
The closure includes the I-95 southbound and northbound off ramps at Exit 90 to Hwy. 144/Ford Avenue; and the I-95 southbound and northbound on ramps from Hwy. 144/Ford Avenue.
Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation have scheduled concrete pavement rehabilitation for the above entrance and exit ramps. All ramps should be reopened daily by 7 a.m. Friday.
Signed detours will be in place using Hwy. 204/Abercorn Extension and Coastal Hwy. 17. As ramps are closed, the signed detours will be put in place.
Motorists should slow down and check signage in the area for these ramps closures.
These areas will be a work zone and extreme caution is necessary.
Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone. Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes.
Georgia DOT strives to work with the community and minimize traffic delays caused by construction.
