MLK parade planning event to honor 9/11

The Richmond Hill Martin Luther King Jr. Parade Planning Committee will hold an event at 6 p.m. Sept. 11 at City Hall to honor those who lost their lives in the attacks of 9/11.

This is open to residents across Bryan County who want to participate in the city’s inaugural Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, set for Jan. 19. Each month leading up to the parade and celebration there will be an event that represents King’s values and beliefs in the civil rights movement.

SAVANNAH – Mayor Tiffany Zeigler of the city of Pembroke has been recognized by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute as an inaugural member of the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute’s 400 Club during GMA’s Annual Convention held in Savannah on June 23.
