RH air guardsman rises in rank

Lt. Col. Steven L. Poulos

Lt. Col. Steven L. Poulos assumed command of the 165th Maintenance Group, 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard in a change of command ceremony held June 10, 2017. Poulos was also promoted to the rank of colonel. 

The 165th Maintenance Group is responsible for the maintenance of eight C-130 H3 aircraft belonging to the unit. These cargo aircraft provide tactical airlift and airdrop missions all over the world in support of in-place and deployed combat operations.

Poulos and his wife, Sarah, live in Richmond Hill with their son and daughter, Evan and Amelia. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in geology and the U.S. Air Force Air War College.
