The Marne Community and Spouses Club will have a membership drive from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 at the Club Stewart grand ballroom.

The club encourages all spouses and community members who want to serve the Marne Community to participate in a day of meeting new friends, networking and shopping local vendors while contributing to the community through outreach, academic scholarships and welfare grants.

Club dues are $25. Those eligible for general membership have the opportunity to apply for educational scholarships for themselves and their children. Applications are available at www.MarneCommunityClub.com.

Organizations in need of assistance are encouraged to apply for welfare grants. Previous recipients include local high school sports booster clubs, YMCA youth projects and military-focused service organizations. Last year, the Marne Community and Spouses Club gave more than $30,000 to the community through scholarships and grants.
