Attached is a photo gallery and video of Wednesday’s ceremony at J.F. Gregory Park, which commemorated both Memorial Day and Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Pembroke’s Third annual Memorial Day celebration takes place Monday at 11 a.m. near the caboose and memorial flags. Music, rememberances and free refreshments will be part of the ceremony. Boyscout Troop 357 will be retiring numerous flags.

Also, Fort McAllister is having a Memorial Day program today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes a Civil War reenactment.
