Meet Bryan County High School student Shyrae Lonon, junior role model.

Lonon is a junior at Bryan County high, enjoys helping others and is actively involved in bettering her community.

Where are you originally from and how long have you lived in Bryan County?

I am originally from Bryan County and I have lived here all my life.

What year are you in school?

I am a junior.

What do you like about Bryan County High School?

I love how our school has so many kind teachers and just about everyone in the whole

school gets along.

What is your favorite subject or subjects?

My favorite subject is AP Language.

 

Do you enjoy school and, if so, what particularly do you like about school?

Yes, I do enjoy school. I particularly like being able to learn different things at school while being in the company of my friends.

Are you involved in extracurricular activities, and if so what are they and how long have you participated in them?

I have been in FCCLA for two years, student council for a year, SADD for a year, and class president for two years.

When you are not in school, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to read and spend time with my boyfriend and my friends.

What do you plan to do or be when you graduate from high school?

After I graduate, I plan on attending Spelman and I would like to become a kindergarten teacher.

What else do you like to do?

I like to go shopping and just have fun.

What do you like about living in Bryan County / North Bryan County?

Bryan County is a good place for someone to grow up in. It is a peaceful town and just about everybody knows each other.

If you could change one thing about North Bryan County, what would it be and why?

I would add more stores. That would be a major change here.

What is your favorite book and what particularly do you like about it?

My favorite book is Forgivin’ Ain’t Forgettin’ by Mata Elliott. I like the fact that this book taught me how to forgive.

What is your favorite movie and what particularly do you like about it?

My favorite movie is The Day After Tomorrow. This is my favorite movie because of the love attraction between Sam Hall and Laura Chapman.

What kind of music do you like?

I like to listen to gospel music.

What is your favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is Jon and Kate Plus 8.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

My favorite place to visit is McDonald’s. I love McDonald’s.

Is there anything else you would like to say about you and what you like to do?

I am a nice person and I enjoy helping those who need help. Recently I donated some food and other necessities to a family who lost their home. I believe that helping people is my gift.
