Keeping with a 55 year Cub Scout tradition, Pack 400 held it’s annual "Pinewood Derby" races at the Wetlands Center in Richmond Hill on Saturday, Feb. 2nd.

The officiating Race Master was Russell Mabrey, in character as "Officer Corporal Punishment," kept things moving on schedule and according to the Derby Rules.

Each Scout created their own race car using an original design. Some of this year's original designs included a "Slice of Pizza", a Tank, a Pirate Ship and a Cool Sticker Car.

With over 100 parents cheering them on, each den raced for first through third place. The winners of each den then competed for the overall Pack Championship.

"I want to congratulate all the Scouts on their creativity and outstanding sportsmanship," Cubmaster Richard Bensman, said. "We are very proud of them."
