The U.S. Census Bureau recently sent the following press release out to help promote the upcoming Census Test, which will include Bryan County.

Did you know that in Chatham County, there are 23,844 residents with Irish ancestry? No wonder St. Patrick's Day is such a celebration in Savannah! We have this information, and so much more, because of the U.S. Census Bureau. An accurate and complete count provides us with a clear snapshot of our neighborhoods and helps us better understand the changing face of our nation. That's why the Census Bureau is committed to doing everything they can to ensure a safe, secure, and easy count. This spring, the Savannah area was chosen to participate in the 2015 Census Test to help research ways to do just that.

You can learn more about the 2015 Census Test in the Savannah area — including 17 counties in Georgia and three in South Carolina — by visiting census.gov/2015."
