Richmond Hill High School is hosting the Region 2-AAAAAA basketball tournaments this week.

The tournament gets under way Monday with a pair of play-in games – one involving the Lady Wildcats (10-14, 2-7), who play host to Effingham County at 6 p.m.

The winner of the RHHS girls’ game and the boys’ play-in game between Bradwell Institute and Effingham County will play the No. 1 seeds on Wednesday.

In the boys’ bracket, that No. 1 seed is Richmond Hill, which finished 19-5 overall and 6-2 in 2-AAAAAA.

The game will be at 8 p.m.

Wednesday at RHHS:

Game 1---3:30 PM-Girls  No. 2 vs No. 3

Game 2---5:00 PM-Boys No. 2 vs No. 3

Game 3---6:30 PM-Girls No. 4/5 winner vs No. 1

Game 4---8:00 PM-Boys No. 4/5 winner vs No. 1

Friday at RHHS:

3:30 PM-Girls     Consolation loser of GAME 1 vs GAME 3 (will decide Girls #3 and #4 seeds for state)

5:00 PM-Boys    Consolation loser of GAME 2 vs GAME 4 (will decide Boys #3 and #4 seeds for state)

6:30 PM-Girls     Championship winner of GAME 1 vs GAME 3 (will decide Girls #1 and #2 seeds for state)

8:00 PM-Boys    Championship winner of GAME 2 vs GAME 4 (will decide Boys #1 and #2 seeds for state)

All higher seeded teams will be the home team and wear white.
