A Richmond Hill man was killed Tuesday morning at his place of employment when he became wedged between two trailers.

According to Garden City Police Capt. Gil Ballard, Scott Price, 27, was connecting two trailers together at the AAA Cooper Transport on Export Boulevard in Garden City around 9:15 a.m. when he became wedged between them and was injured internally. He was able to free himself, and coworkers called 911.

Ballard said Price was responsive when police officers and emergency medical personnel arrived. He was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, where he later died from his injures.

Ballard said an autopsy was conducted Wednesday morning at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab in Savannah.

"From all indications, this appears to be an unfortunate accident and no foul play is suspected,” Ballard said.
