Qualifying begins Monday for three Richmond Hill City Council seats, including the mayor’s post, coming available in the November elections.
Incumbent mayor Harold Fowler has already announced his intention to seek a second term. Also seeking re-election are Mayor Pro-Tem Van Hunter and Councilman Russ Carpenter.
So far, all three are unopposed.
Residents interested in running must qualify between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday with City Clerk Ursella Lee at Richmond Hill City Hall.
Those running for mayor must pay a $224 fee, while those seeking council seats must pay a $175 fee.
There are no countywide or Pembroke offices up for grabs this year.
