Galbreath and Sons is helping spread a little Christmas cheer this holiday season by hosting a raffle to help out a local family.

According to Steven Galbreath, the heating and air company is holding a raffle to benefit the Beasley/Newman family from Ellabell who lost two young sons and their home in a fire Nov. 9.

Galbreath said the idea to host the fundraiser came from his father, Larry Galbreath.

“It’s just one of those things, it was working on my dad’s heart,” Steven Galbreath said. “Seeing those two kids lost in a fire was pretty rough, so my dad wanted to do something.”

He said the company’s goal is to raise $10,000 by raffling off a 15 SEER Lennox heating and air system. The equipment is being donated by Lennox and the labor will be provided by Galbreath and Sons.

Galbreath added Lennox was happy to help.

“The Lennox territory manager has been doing business with us for 15-20 years, he’s from the area and he knew about what happened and was all about helping,” he said.

And every dime raised from the raffle will benefit the Ellabell family.

“One hundred percent of proceeds are going to the Beasleys — we want everybody to understand that,” he said. “We are not getting anything out of this. We truly just want to help this family.”

Tickets are $20 each and will be on sale through Monday.
