Lisa Freeman, founder of The Matthew Freeman Project: Pens and Paper for Peace, threw the first pitch, also dubbed the “pitch for paper, pens and peace,” Tuesday at ‘Cats Night Out in Richmond Hill. The Wildcats were collecting school supplies for The Matthew Freeman Project, which sends the supplies overseas for the military to distribute to children in war-torn countries whose education has been disrupted by conflict.
