The Pembroke City Council held off on a decision Monday to hire a firm to review what the city needs in a new fire station.
During their regular meeting at city hall, council members said they wanted the fire committee to meet with City Administrator Frank Etheridge and Pembroke Fire Department heads to discuss whether spending $7,480 from the city’s fire fund for a professional needs assessment is appropriate. The committee is to go before the council next month with a recommendation.
