National Night Out set for Aug. 4

In partnership with the Richmond Hill Police Department, the city of Richmond Hill will host National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 at J.F. Gregory Park, 520 Cedar St.

The annual nationwide event encourages community-police partnerships and camaraderie by teaching crime prevention and neighborhood safety.

Safety displays and demonstrations will be provided by emergency service agencies, and most activities will be free, including hot dogs and drinks, doughnut and hot dog eating contests, raffles, rides, martial arts demonstrations, water slides, face painting and other kids’ activities.

Vendor space is available for $50. Interested vendors should also contact Willis. Payments should be made at City Hall. Registration must be completed prior to payment and turned in or emailed to Willis.
