Richmond Hill police report that Enrique Vasquez, the 15-year-old missing since Monday afternoon is “unharmed and safe at home with his parents.”

Police are asking that everyone “please give the family some space and time to deal with” the situation. Vasquez’s disappearance was first reported Monday night when police indicated he had left home without his cell phone.

Officers reviewed his cell phone and computer, canvassed his neighborhood door-to-door, interviewed his friends and initiated a ground search using foot patrols and four-wheelers. Police said they also brought in tracking dogs and a helicopter with thermal imaging during the search.

“Thank you to everyone in the community for their support and a special thank you to the Richmond Hill Fire Department and the pilots who helped to search for Enrique,” police said.
