An American flag flown in Afghanistan is on display in the Richmond Hill Public Library thanks to efforts from the Common Threads knitting group.
The flag was dedicated to Common Threads by group member Cindy Goodmanson’s son, Staff Sergeant Jonathan Adams, and his unit after the group sent care packages to the soldiers.
“They weren’t expecting anything and that these guys thought so much of what they (Common Threads) had done and that they wanted to do something for them is wonderful,” Goodmanson said.
