Bryan County Schools and the Bryan County Sheriff's Department have turned over the findings of their investigation into a former Bryan County High School teacher who recently resigned over allegations involving improper conduct at an away cross country meet in November.

School officials earlier declined to name the teacher, Zachary Giebner. He is named in the below "joint" press release, which was issued earlier this afternoon:

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Department and Bryan County School System have concluded a joint
investigation into allegations made against a former Bryan County Schools teacher, Zachary Giebner.
The school system learned of the alleged incident in April 2014. The allegations revolved around
inappropriate conduct with students during an overnight athletic competition in Newnan, Georgia in
November 2013. The findings of the investigation will be turned over to the Sheriff’s Department in
Coweta County, where the alleged incident occurred.

School officials earlier said there were claims made in an anonymous email that alcohol was involved as well as a female student in Giebner's room.
