Goodwill grand opening is Thursday

The new Goodwill store in Richmond Hill will open at 10 a.m. Thursday with a grand opening celebration.
Door prizes and drawings will be a part of the celebration as well as a donation center. All donations will help fund Goodwill's Workforce Development Programs, according to a release from Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire.
But this is more than a thrift store, officials say.
The new Richmond Hill facility, which is located in the old Kroger building, will also house a career center and job connections center.
The center will be a resource for job searches, offering help with resumes and interviewing skills, as well as a phone bank, printer and copier.
"We're excited about being in Richmond Hill and Bryan County," Whitfield said. "We are committed to tailoring our services to the needs of Richmond Hill. We're anxious to hear what Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas want."
