The City of Richmond Hill and Fort McAllister Sport Fishing Club are sponsoring the Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby as part of Georgia Cities Week.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in J.F. Gregory Park. There is a limit of five fish per child and catch and release is strongly encouraged.

Trophies will be given for the biggest fish caught in various age groups 4-15, and all registered participants will receive a medal. It is advised for younger participants to wear a life vest and they must be accompanied by an adult. The event will take place rain or shine. Weigh-in is between 11 and 11:30 a.m., trophies will be presented at 11:45 a.m.

A free lunch of hot dogs, chips and soda will be provided for registered participants by Fort McAllister Fishing Club. The event ends at noon.
