Richmond Hill -- Please join the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, Richmond Hill Mayor Harold Fowler and other invited guests for the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new Game Changers Health and Fitness Center, on Tuesday, April 22nd.    The ground breaking ceremony will begin at 10:00 am.
The Center is the brainchild of one of the current owners of Georgia Game Changers Running Company, Ron Elliott.  Elliott envisioned the expansion plan that will include not only an improved and expanded running company, but also a ‘partnership of sorts’ with other health and fitness related businesses.  The Center will be located right off of exit 90 on the corner of Ford Avenue and Camilla Street. Coastal Therapy, a locally-owned physical therapy company will join Game Changers in the first phase of the complex.  As a part of the expansion plan, Elliott is also looking to include a bike shop, a smoothie bar, a functional training gym, and other business owners who have a health and fitness mindset and focus. The new center will be completed in phases, and will include a 16,000 square foot building and a 200 meter rubberized track. The track will be multi-purpose and be available for both training clinics held at the store, as well as be a place where runners and walkers in the community will be able to train and practice.  Elliott is also hoping to find the ideal health-food based restaurant to occupy the prime, front acre space. According to Elliott, “We hope the complex will be a central meeting point for those who want to be fit and healthy.  We would love to have a restaurant with a health-oriented based menu to complement all of the other activities that will be taking place in the center.” Game Changers Running Company has been a part of Richmond Hill and the Coastal Georgia running community for nearly two years.  It is a natural running company, which means the store features shoes and accessories not necessarily found at the more traditional running stores.  The store has sought to be an education and experience-based store, with the mindset of helping customers to “set goals, embrace the possibilities, and to become game changers” both in their own lives as well as in the lives of others.  The store’s CEO, Sandra Elliott, is a retired Army physical therapist, and she and Ron have trained their staff members to be customer-focused, as they help those who walk through the door, to find the “perfect running , walking, or fitness” shoes based on a variety of factors, to include customer preference.  “Our store’s motto, is “Don’t let a setback, keep you from a comeback, “said Elliott.  “We truly hope that Game Changers Health and Fitness Complex will be place for people to ‘change their game’ in more ways than one.  We hope to be a part of many more special ‘fitness journeys’ in Richmond Hill, as we find ways to help our visitors to dream big while providing them with the products and services they need to achieve their goals.” For more information, log onto www.RHBCchamber.org, or contact Brianne M.
