The Friends of the Richmond Hill Library donated $2,400 for the purchase of best sellers, both fiction and nonfiction, and large print books. FOL also recently donated $1,000 to purchase furniture for a special teen section and to provide charging stations for electronic devices.

FOL raises money through sales of books in the library with paperbacks selling for 50 cents each and hardbacks for $1. FOL also hosts large "Book Room" sales, the next is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12. FOL accepts all types of books, vintage or new, but asks that these be clean and generally in good condition. Call 912-756-3580 for information or visit the group’s Facebook page, Richmond Hill Friends of the Library.
