The Richmond Hill Exchange Club at its recent meeting made a $300 donation to Backpacks of Love and recognized the January and February Students of the Month from Richmond Hill High School.

The Students of the Month are Tripp Tucker (January) and Vicky Yang (February). Monthly winners receive a certificate and $100 and are eligible for the Student of the Year award presented each May that includes a plaque and $1,000. Selections are based on academic performance, community involvement and leadership.

Backpacks of Love is a community outreach program run through New Beginnings Church. It serves as many as 200 students a week by providing them nutritious food and snacks in a backpack that they can take home each weekend.
