When Pastor Steve Lane of New Beginnings Community Church says every kid who attends the sixth annual Easter Extravaganza will get plenty of Easter eggs, he's not kidding around.
Church volunteers have stuffed 29,000 plastic eggs with candy and prizes for the egg hunt, which gets under way at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill and is a rain or shine event.
"We will hold eggs back for those kids who show up late or are not as aggressive," Lane said. "No kid is going to leave the park without Easter eggs. And if it rains, the eggs will be distribute to the children and all the other events will go on as planned."
