Early voting to close Friday in Ga.

Early voting has been taking place across Georgia for more than two weeks, but anyone wishing to cast a ballot early for the November general election has only until Friday to do so.

Bryan County residents can vote early from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday at either the County Administrative Complex in Richmond Hill or the Voter Registration Office in Pembroke.

According to Chief Registrar Warren Miller, more than 4,100 of Bryan County’s more than 20,000 registered voters have turned out so far — of those, nearly 500 cast ballots Saturday.

While early voting has been steady, local election officials still expect crowds on Election Day and continue to encourage residents to vote early.

To view a sample ballot, find a polling place or for more information, visit www.sos.ga.gov/mvp, or contact the Voter Registration Office at 653-3859.
