Early voting in runoff elections continues through next week in Bryan County.

Races include that between state Sen. Buddy Carter and Dr. Bob Johnson for the Republican nomination in the race for the First Congressional District seat.

There’s also a runoff between Democrats Amy Tavio, a Richmond Hillbusiness woman, and Savannah’s Brian Reese for the First Congressional District seat.

Current District 1 Congressman Jack Kingston (R-Savannah) is involved in a runoff with David Perdue for the Republican nomination to face Democrat Michelle Nunn in November for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Saxby Chambliss, who is retiring.

Early voting ends July 18. The runoff election is July 22.

Those who didn't vote in the primary are still eligible to vote in the runoff and can select either a Republican or Democratic ballot. Those who voted in the primary, however, are required to cast a ballot with the same party.
