North Main Street in Pembroke will be closed between Smith Street and Burkhalter Street today through Friday while a drainage pipe is replaced, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Motorists will be able to access residences on the street up to the work zone.

The existing storm drainage pile, maintained by GDOT, will be replaced under the roadway and the roadway will be resurfaced, if needed. The roadway will reopen early if the work is completed ahead of schedule or could possibly be closed longer if weather delays the work.
