Sam Davis has announced his plans to seek a fourth term as the Bryan County probate judge in the upcoming election.
"There is still a lot of work I want done in the probate court," he said Tuesday as a reason to seek re-election. "We've come a long way in the 12 years I've been in office."
Davis said during that time he has seen the probate court open a full-time office in Richmond Hill, has become heavily involved with the Probate Council of Georgia and has served as the editor of the probate court judge's newspaper.
"Making contacts with other judges throughout the state has helped me in my work in Bryan County so it has been a privilege not only here in Bryan County but also in the state," he said.
Davis, a Bryan County native, said he looks forward to the working on changes in election processes, upgrading voting machines and more if he is re-elected.
"The probate court is changing every year and you have to stay abreast and up-to-date with those and it's a challenge I look forward to," he said.
