Highway 144 west on Fort Stewart is closed until further notice following a two-vehicle accident with one fatality, according to a news release from Fort Stewart PAO.

The fatality is a civilian not affiliated with the installation, according to Fort Stewart police. Georgia State Patrol is on the scene and investigating.
