Bryan County Adminstrator Ray Pittman is resigning effective July 11. Pittman's resignation was accepted by the Bryan County Board of Commissioners at a brief called meeting Monday afternoon at the county's administrative building in South Bryan.

Pittman did not say why he is stepping down, but called Bryan County "a great place to live. I really mean that." He said he will start his own engineering firm.
