City sets date for curbside collection of large items

As part of Georgia Cities Week, observed April 22-27, Richmond Hill will again offer curbside pickup of large items not normally picked up by city services.

This opportunity is available for Richmond Hill current water account users in residential zoning areas only. Curbside pickup will include large items, such as appliances, furniture and other bulky items not normally picked up by the regular trash service.

All city residents should place their items on the curb by 7 a.m. the morning of their scheduled pickup.

Neighborhood schedules and other information are as follows:

April 23 – Large item trash pickup in the following areas: Mulberry, Richmond Place, Blueberry, Camellia Street, Rosemont Street, Carter Street, Rushing Street, Forest Street, Clark Street, Live Oak, White Oak and Ponderosa.

April 25 – Large item pick-up in the following areas: Piercefield, Teal Lake, Main Street, Brisbon Hall, Sterling Creek, Sterling Woods, Cypress Point, Richmond Hill Plantation-Port Royal and Creekside.

April 27 – Large item pick-up in the following areas:Richmond Heights, Parkside, Bottoms, Cherokee, Port Drive, Melrose, Richmond Hill Plantation and Turtle Hill.

The following items will not be collected: tires, hazardous waste items, paint, refrigerators, freezers, oil or oil-based product, grease products, batteries, gas or gas-based products, lawnmowers and Freon or Freon-based products.

Subdivisions will be serviced once only on the day indicated.

Yard waste will be picked up on the regularly scheduled days.
