City reports minor sewage spill

The city of Richmond Hill reported a minor sewage spill took place around 10 a.m. Monday from a manhole behind 276 Mulberry Drive.
According to the press release issued Monday, around 300 gallons were spilled and entered a nearby detention pond.
The release states the spill was caused when a main breaker at Telephone Lift Station was tripped.
The station was put back into service within about 15 minutes of the spill, and the affected area was cleaned and limed to eliminate debris.
