Representatives from Richmond Hill recently celebrated the grand opening of Sterling Creek Park, officially cutting the ribbon on the new 187-acre park.

Nature trails, parking and restroom facilities are currently open to the public, and subsequent phases of the park will feature a 12-acre lake, cross country trails, and mountain biking trails.

“We’re pleased to officially open Sterling Creek Park, an amenity our residents and visitors will enjoy for years to come,” said Mayor Harold Fowler. “Projects such as this help us position Richmond Hill for future growth and boost quality of life initiatives.”

In addition to the grand opening, Game Changers in Richmond Hill hosted an inaugural 5K fun run/walk to christen the new park.
