ATLANTA — District 1 state Sen. Buddy Carter, R- Pooler, has received an A-plus grade on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 legislative scorecard.
The scorecard recognizes legislators who supported pro-business initiatives during the recent legislative session. Midterm assessments from the 2013 legislative session, as well as a final grade for the biennial legislative term, also were included.
“The Georgia chamber remains a respectable organization that strives for the betterment of Georgia economics and business,” Carter said.  “I have enjoyed working with the chamber throughout my time in the Senate and remain thankful for this recognition and their continued support of the Savannah Harbor expansion project.”
Initiatives enhancing Georgia’s competitiveness through economic development, legal reform, business and industry, environment and energy, and education were designated as scorecard issues by the Georgia Chamber Government Affairs Council prior to the start of the 2014 legislative session.
