Bryan County High School principal Dr. Dawn Hadley and assistant principal Dr. Rod Backman have reportedly resigned.

The Bryan County Board of Education voted 4-0 to accept the two administrator's resignations at a called meeting Thursday evening at the Richmond Hill Pre-K center. District 1 member Paine Bacon and District 2 member Dennis Seger abstained.

The vote followed an executive session of approximately 45 minutes. No reason was given for the resignations at the meeting.

The BoE will begin advertising for the position Friday, Bryan Schools superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher said, with the goal of having a new principal at BCHS by the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year this fall.
