Clad in traditional caps and gowns and wearing smiles bigger than Pembroke, members of the Class of 2016 at Bryan County High School made it official Saturday morning.

They're officially high school graduates.

In all, 112 seniors received their diplomas in a BCHS gym filled to the rafters with family and friends.

Some of those in the standing room only crowd had to wait until after graduates entered and were seated to get inside.

Of the seniors who walked across the stage to receive diplomas, 48 were honor graduates, and 14 graduated Summa Cum Laude — including valedictorian Allison Lamb and salutatorian Apurv Patel.

Both urged classmates to remember their time at BCHS fondly and go on to achieve big things.
