Bryan County Emergency Services will hold its second annual "Biggest Loser" contest beginning next month.

The eight-week weight-loss competition will begin with weigh-ins from Jan. 5-9 at the health departments on either end of the county. Each participant will weigh in on the same scales.

Percent of body weight lost will be measured.

The final weigh-ins will be from March 2-6.

Participants must weigh in at least once every week. Registration fee is $5, which must be paid during the first week of the competition. There will be a penalty fee of $1 applied after each weigh-in if a participant’s weight stays the same, for missing a weigh-in or for each pound gained.

The winner will be the person who loses the largest percentage of body weight and will receive the entire pot of money collected, other awards and recognition.

To enter, email Deputy Administration Chief Susan Clark at susanclark@bryan-county.org or call 912-858-2799.
