Editor’s note: This is one in a series of surveys answered by candidates in contested races in the July 31 primary.
The District 3 county commission seat is up for grabs this year, and two Republican candidates will face off in the July 31 primary election for the nomination.
Richmond Hill residents Billy Albritton and Steve Myers both seek the District 3 seat. Myers has more than 25 years experience as a business owner and is a political newcomer in Bryan County. Albritton has been involved in Richmond Hill city government for 15 years and also has 40 years of management experience. Both have been active in the community and want to better the county and local communities.
Early voting for the July 31 primary is under way from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday through July 27 at the Bryan County Courthouse in Pembroke and the County Administrative Complex in South Bryan. Polls will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 21.
