A leading agricultural equipment manufacturer is the newest tenant at the Interstate Centre in Black Creek.

The Development Authority of Bryan County today announced that AGCO Corp., headquartered in Duluth, Ga., will open an assembly center at the North Bryan industrial park. AGCO will occupy a 75,000-square-foot expandable facility that will be built by North Point Industrial LLC, representing an $8 million investment and a commitment to 31 jobs within three years.

“AGCO is a globally recognized brand, and we are honored that Bryan County has been chosen for the company’s new assembly center,” said DABC Chairman Noah Covington. “We are looking forward to building a strong relationship with the company and are excited to watch them grow in our community.”

AGCO’s Savannah Assembly Center will be a new addition to AGCO’s North American commercial operations. The site will be responsible for the final assembly and distribution of the Massey Ferguson compact and utility tractor range for the southeast market.

“Thank you to the Development Authority of Bryan County and North Point Industrial for making this project a reality,” said AGCO Director of Operations James Shurts. “The Savannah site will add needed capacity to our compact and utility equipment distribution footprint as well as allow us to tap into a labor base that aligns well with our market focus.”

“We are excited that AGCO is expanding across the state and into Bryan County,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “AGCO’s continued investment in the state is vast, and we know that Bryan County offers prime manufacturing resources and skilled workforce that the company will need to be successful.”
