Greenbriar Children’s Center honored Bryan County-based Lesley Francis Public Relations (LFPR) at its annual meeting and awards luncheon at the L. Scott Stell Banquet Hall on Feb. 27.

Guests enjoyed great fellowship and a delicious lunch, prepared by the culinary arts students at Woodville-Tompkins High School, as they celebrated the Savannah based nonprofit organization’s 2018 accomplishments.

“Greenbriar is proud to honor the people who have selflessly devoted time to furthering our mission,” Greenbriar Executive Director Gena Taylor said. “We couldn’t care for the children in this community without people like these and our remarkable board, volunteers and supporters.”

Greenbriar announced their appreciation for LFPR as Taylor presented the annual Media Partner of the Year award, calling LFPR “public relations at its best.”

“In the first year of our partnership, Greenbriar’s presence in the community grew exponentially,” Taylor said. “We experienced significant increases in both financial and in-kind contributions. We were exposed to new audiences through magazines and social media. They demonstrated their passion about the mission of Greenbriar every time they went above and beyond to tell our story. We are fortunate to have Lesley Francis Public Relations representing Greenbriar.”

Lesley Francis, founder and CEO of LFPR, said she and her staff are honored to have been chosen for the award.

“We strive to become true partners with our clients, bringing our marketing expertise to help them raise their profile. Working with a nonprofit organization like Greenbriar which is dedicated to helping young people and children is humbling,” Francis said. “Recognition for our team of six dedicated professionals at LFPR means a great deal and this award is just the icing on the cake.”

Greenbriar presented other awards to their volunteers of the year, servant leader, community partner and corporate partner of the year. Those recognized included:

• 2018 Volunteers of the Year – Margaret Anne Pearson, Terri Lewis, Annette Mitchell

• 2018 Community Partner of the Year – Tough Team for Children

• 2018 Servant Leadership Award – Berean Missionary Baptist Association • 2018 Corporate Partner of the Year – Publix Greenbriar Children’s Center is a nonprofit organization that promotes the healthy development of children and the strengthening of families through various programs.
