Les Fussell defeated Marcus Thompson in the special election Tuesday to fill the Richmond Hill Post 3 council seat vacated in January by Mark Ott.

Fussell outpolled Thompson 454-305, according to Dawnne Greene, Richmond Hill's elections supervisor.  Fussell will be sworn in at the next city council meeting.
