American Legion JE Lanier Post 27 is hosting its Spring Food Drive on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the DeVaul Henderson Park Shell Station, 22 Capt. Matthew Freeman Drive in Richmond Hill.

 If you would like to drop off items before Saturday, the United Way Coastal Empire is opening their office to collect items the Thursday prior.  This collection will help fill up the Richmond Hill food pantry at Elios. 

Collectable items include:

• Canned fish & lean meats (tuna, salmon, chicken)
• Peanut butter or other nut butters
• Healthy soups & stews
• Whole grain breakfast cereals
• Canned or dried beans
• Pasta sauce & canned tomatoes

The early drop-off location is on Thursday, March 12, at United Way Coastal Empire Office, 9611 Ford Avenue, Richmond Hill.
