Due to changes in the way the Coastal Health District and Georgia Department of Public Health are releasing case information, the Bryan County News is now able to provide a snapshot of Bryan County’s COVID-19 numbers. These numbers reflect totals available at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Confirmed Cases: 66 Total population: 39,137 Case rate: 155.9 Deaths: 5 Deaths per 100k: 12.8 Hospitalizations: 18

Changes to US 280 and I-16 begin Friday

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will be shifting traffic into a temporary configuration on US 280/State Route (SR) 30 at the I-16 westbound roundabout. This will occur Friday, June 20, through Saturday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
